Public Safety Exams
We have valid and reliable pre-written exams for selection of public safety officers at every level. We have also worked with several specialized agencies to develop and validate police and fire examinations and assessment programs. We also have developed exams and processes to be used for specific public safety and civilian applications in Communications and Detention. Some of these products and services include entry-level and promotional examinations and other assessments and are only available to agencies in the states for which they were developed.
We will also prepare a custom exam based on your approved reading reference list. Exams may be administered by our staff or by your staff on location. Scoring also may be done by your staff or ours. We strive to offer high quality, cost effective exam options for every budget.
Assessment Centers
After we complete a job study for each position being assessed we will provide a recommendation of specific exercises to capture requisite KSA's. Our assessment centers include a series of job simulations and exercises geared toward measuring the essential behavioral, management, and supervisory knowledge, skills and abilities of police and fire promotional candidates. Our assessment center components can be structured to include: role-play, group problem solving, tactical simulation, in-basket, written problem-solving, and many more types of unique and proven exercises.
We offer a creative alternative to the traditional Oral Board in the format of what we call a structured interview. Our structured interview process is much more job related then the targeted interview option. We also have a feedback report option available which provides feedback to each individual candidate and can be used for both their personal and professional development.
We strive to make our quality assessment process more accessible to agencies with limited testing and promotional budgets. We can offer your agency a full range of options to match any budget. If you wish, we will completely design, administer, and score your process. We also offer a wide range of shared options. Any of our assessment center components can be purchased and administered by your department to create a supplement to the written exam.
